Actress Trisha Krishnan has been in the news in recent days after her appearance at a wedding reception in Chennai alongside actor Thalapathy Vijay went viral on social media. Photos and videos from the event spread quickly online, drawing widespread attention and once again putting the actress in the spotlight.
Amid this buzz, Trisha took to her social media platforms, X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, and shared a strongly worded note addressing a recent remark made about her. Referring to the discussion around her appearance at the wedding, she clarified, “I was informed by the organisers of a recent event that my name and picture were included at the last minute at the request of an individual conveyed through his assistant.” She then added a sharp message: “A microphone doesn’t make a comment intelligent or humorous. It just makes stupidity louder. Crude words without knowledge say more about the speaker than the person they’re aimed at.”
The post came after actor-director R. Parthiban made a remark at the Galatta Pink Golden Queen Awards event. While speaking on stage, he referred to Trisha’s popular character Kundavai from Ponniyin Selvan and jokingly said that “Kundavai should stay at home for a few days,” a comment many believe was linked to the recent buzz surrounding her appearance at the wedding.
Though Trisha did not mention anyone directly in her post, many people online connected her statement to the remark made at the event. The episode has since sparked discussions about responsible public comments and the importance of being mindful while speaking about others in public forums.
