Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie, Sitaare Zameen Par. The emotional and inspiring drama is an official remake of the award-winning 2018 Spanish sports drama, Champions, and it is hitting theaters worldwide on June 20, 2025.
In a recent interview while promoting Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan made the official announcement regarding his much-talked-about biggie under star Kollywood director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s direction. Aamir ended the suspense surrounding the project by revealing that the film is a superhero spectacle and that it’s a big-scale action film. Aamir went on to say that the film will go on floors in the second half of 2026.
While Aamir is tight-lipped about this crazy film’s plotline, speculations are rife that Lokesh is making his long-delayed dream project, Irumbu Kai Mayavi, for which he initially planned to cast Suriya as the main lead. Interestingly, Aamir will be seen in a crucial cameo in Superstar Rajinikanth’s highly anticipated gangster drama, Coolie. The film is scheduled for release in theaters on August 14 as an Independence Day treat.
