After an eight-year hiatus, the versatile Kannada actor Upendra is making his return to the director’s chair with UI. Headlined by Upendra himself, the film is set to release on December 20, 2024, in multiple languages, generating significant anticipation.
While the movie gears up for its grand release, Upendra is busy filming for Rajinikanth’s Coolie in Rajasthan, where Bollywood star Aamir Khan is also shooting for his portions. The two actors met, and when Upendra shared the UI trailer with Aamir, the Bollywood superstar couldn’t contain his excitement and released a video.
In the video, Aamir said that he was with someone he is a big fan of (referring to Upendra). He went on to mention that he watched the Hindi trailer of UI and found it amazing. Aamir appreciated Upendra and extended his best wishes for the film’s massive success. He also mentioned that Hindi audiences will love the movie.
UI is produced by Lahari Films, G Manoharan, and Venus Entertainers, with K P Sreekanth, while Naveen Manoharan serves as the co-producer. The film also stars Sunny Leone, Reeshma Nanaiah, Murali Sharma, Nidhi Subbaiah, Sadhu Kokila, Murali Krishna, and Indrajit Lankesh in key roles. The soundtrack is composed by the talented Ajaneesh B Loknath.
