The death case of actress Pratyusha, which has been under legal review for more than two decades, has finally reached a major conclusion with the latest decision from the Supreme Court of India.

Pratyusha was a young Telugu and Tamil film actress who passed away in 2002 after consuming poison, and her sudden death shocked the film industry and led to widespread controversy. The case moved through multiple courts over the years, with repeated appeals and differing claims about the circumstances surrounding her death.

In its latest verdict, the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal filed by Gudipalli Siddhartha Reddy and upheld his conviction for abetment of suicide.

The court stated that there is no evidence to support the murder allegations and confirmed that the death resulted from poisoning. It also directed the accused to surrender within the specified time frame and serve the sentence upheld by the High Court.

With this judgment, the long legal process has effectively reached its end. The ruling brings closure to a sensitive and widely discussed case and stands as the final word from the highest court after many years of investigation, hearings, and appeals.
