Adivi Sesh is gearing up to entertain audiences with the romantic action thriller Dacoit. Mrunal Thakur plays the female lead. Initially scheduled for a March 19 release, the movie was later postponed to April 10.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Adivi Sesh cited Dhurandhar 2 as the reason for Dacoit’s postponement. He said, “We were not being assured that we would get the required number of theatres due to Dhurandhar 2 releasing on the same date (March 19). It was a practical decision.”
When asked how much Dhurandhar 2 affected Dacoit, Adivi Sesh answered, “Content, no. But release, yes. I truly believe Dacoit is a layered emotional love story told in the rhythm of an action film. Dhurandhar is the country’s biggest film and is a big reason we moved our date to get better showcasing. Due respect needs to be given.”
