Ranveer Singh scored a mammoth blockbuster with Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar. The spy action thriller is set to become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time in India and will also soon join the elite Rs. 1000 crores club.
Meanwhile, according to an exclusive report in Pinkvilla, Ranveer is said to have kept Don 3 on hold, which is set to be directed by Farhan Akhtar. The film was supposed to go on floors in January 2026 after several postponements, but that seems unlikely now.
The report mentioned, “With Dhurandhar’s massive success, Ranveer is very clear about the kind of films he wants to do next. He is keen to collaborate with filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Atlee, and at the same time, he doesn’t want to be seen in back-to-back gangster films, especially since Dhurandhar is already established in that space.”
Hence, Ranveer Singh is said to have prioritized other films over Don 3. The report further suggests that Ranveer is now keen on kick-starting his zombie film with Jai Mehta at the earliest. Don 3 has been facing multiple issues from the beginning, and the latest buzz around it indicates that the project won’t take off anytime soon.
