With unexpected legal cases and religious heads calling out the inaccurate portrayal of key events and characters, it looks like the mythological magnum opuses are facing a tough time in the country. Recently, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s blockbuster sci-fi mythological drama, Kalki 2898 AD, faced intense criticism.
And it’s now Jai Hanuman’s turn to face legal trouble. As per the latest reports, a Hyderabad-based lawyer has filed a petition against Jai Hanuman makers, alleging inappropriate portrayal of Lord Hanuman in the teaser that was released last year. An advocate named Tirumala Rao has moved the Nampally court, seeking action against Mythri Movie Makers and the team of Jai Hanuman.
In his petition, the advocate alleged that the Jai Hanuman teaser disrespects Lord Hanuman, as the makers depicted Lord Hanuman’s face through Rishab Shetty. The advocate claimed that the teaser could mislead future generations about Lord Hanuman’s image and demanded an immediate removal of the controversial visuals. However, the producers at Mythri Movie Makers are yet to make a formal statement in this regard. Jai Hanuman is a highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster Hanu-Man, directed by Prasanth Varma.
