Released for Pongal earlier this year, the Tamil version of Tamil star Ajith’s rural family entertainer, Viswasam, went on to seal its place in the list of all-time top three highest grossing Tamil movies. Now, Viswasam has set a new South Indian record, but this time with its TV premiere.
As per the latest updates from BARC, Viswasam has amassed 18,143 points from its world TV premiere. The film has surpassed all the previous top South movies like Pichaikkaran (Bichagadu) 17,696, Baahubali 2 (17,070) and Sarkar (16,906). Ajith is currently working on Bollywood film Pink’s Tamil remake, Nerkonda Paarvai.
