Nandamuri Balakrishna had to prove a point or so to everyone after the debacle of the NTR biopic. So he joined hands with his favorite director Boyapati Sreenu and scored a big hit with Akhanda.
The collections are there for us all to see and let’s analyze why the audience is enjoying this film so much in the theaters.
Firstly, fans were missing Balayya in a mass avatar and despite the simple story, Boyapati showcased Balayya in a way that fans wanted to see.
Secondly, most of the audience was in dilemma whether to watch films on the big screen in these tense Covid times.
So, when the positive talk and mass clips of the people enjoying in the theaters came out, the audience started to throng the theaters with families for a big-screen experience.
In the US too, the family audience avoids such films as they are filled with violence. But as they were also vexed with these tough times, a huge number of NRI families are watching the film in theaters.
Thirdly, the audience was so used to watching serious films on the OTT platforms during these Covid times. So, once a mass action film like Akhanda came out, everyone lapped it up.
Lastly and most importantly, Balayya presented himself in a new avatar and did not go overboard as he did in his previous films.
Also, as there are no over-the-top and trolling moments(which Balayya films generally have) in the film, Balayya’s mass avatar, fights, and songs have made this film a big hit and given the audience a reason to rejoice.
