After disappointing audiences and fans with Agent, Akhil Akkineni is gearing up to entertain moviegoers with the rural action drama Lenin. The film is directed by Murali Kishore Abburu of Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha fame. Bhagyasri Borse has replaced Sreeleela as the female lead.
Today, the makers revealed that the film will hit the big screens in Summer 2026. They also announced that the first single will be released on January 5, 2026. A new poster featuring Akhil was unveiled to mark the announcement.
Naga Vamsi, along with King Nagarjuna, is backing the film under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Annapurna Studios, respectively. Reportedly, Lenin revolves around the sensitive issue of honour killings. SS Thaman is composing the music.
