The visuals depicted Akhil Raj’s frustration with the concerned person, and the incident triggered discussions online. Now, the actor has released a video issuing a clarification, explaining his side of the story.
Akhil Raj said, “We didn’t order food, but we received the parcel. My mother took the parcel and asked him who had ordered it. After learning that no one had ordered it, she kept it aside. After some time, the delivery boy came and abused my mother, asking how we could take something just because it came for free. He started a fight with our family members, and as a son, I warned him to behave properly. He said he would shoot a video and upload it online.”
He added, “Without knowing the entire incident, some are criticizing me. Will you remain calm if something of this sort happens to your family? I should have behaved in a more mature way by taking the issue to the police. Since he abused my mother, I lost my cool. I hail from a middle-class family, and I too worked as a delivery boy. Even in our film, we spoke about self-respect. Why would I initiate a fight with him? What would I gain by doing so? This is my clarification to those trolling me.”
