The latest release of Bollywood, Bholaa, starring Ajay Devgn, isn’t performing as per expectations. The movie has till now made a nett of 67 crores which is low for a star hero film. After having an okay weekend, the collections dipped drastically. The film is heading towards a loss venture now.
The fact that remakes are not working in the Hindi film industry is one of the key reasons behind this underperformance. Up next, Salman Khan is coming up with Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which is a remake of Ajith’s Veeram. Now all eyes are on this movie which has Pooja Hedge as the female lead and Victory Venkatesh in a crucial role.
Can the Bollywood Megastar achieve success despite the movie being a remake? Of course, Salman’s stardom and craze will ensure good openings, but it has to be seen if the film can sustain in the long run. Kisi Ki Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan releases on April 21st in theatres.
