Alpha has emerged as one of the biggest disappointments at the box office this year. After posting decent numbers over its opening weekend, the film witnessed a sharp drop during the weekdays.
The YRF film collected Rs 8.50 crore on its opening day, followed by Rs 10.50 crore and Rs 12.75 crore over the weekend. However, collections dipped drastically from Monday onward, with the film earning just Rs 3.40 crore, Rs 3.85 crore, and Rs 2.20 crore over the next three days.
With its first-week total expected to close at a disappointing Rs 43 crore nett in India, trade experts believe the film’s fate is almost sealed and it is a flop.
Adding to its woes, Dhamaal 4 is set to arrive this Friday, resulting in a significant reduction in screens and shows making things even worse for Alpha.
