Finally, the shooting of Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD sequel has officially begun. Yesterday, we reported that stylist Amritha Ram had confirmed the development. Now, Amitabh Bachchan himself has verified the big news and shared several updates.
Big B took to his Tumblr account, a platform not many are aware he actively uses, to confirm that the shoot has commenced and that he has resumed filming for the sequel.
He also apologised to his fans, as many believed he was at his residence, Jalsa, where a large crowd had gathered to catch a glimpse of him. However, he clarified that he was in Hyderabad for the shoot. Amitabh even shared pictures of the crowd outside his residence.
Sharing further details, he revealed that he met the talented Kamal Haasan on the sets on Sunday. He posted a couple of pictures from their meeting and fondly recalled their collaboration in Geraftaar (1985).
“Kalki 2 has begun work… and shall ever cherish the love and affection of anticipated presence on the Sunday… but hopefully shall be with all this coming Sunday,” wrote Big B, who reprises his role as Ashwatthama. He also shared BTS pictures related to his portions in the film.
Fans expressed their happiness at seeing him back on the sets and eagerly await Prabhas joining the next schedule. Nag Ashwin is directing the sequel, which is being produced under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies. More exciting updates are expected soon.
