Annaatthe Annaatthe, the much-awaited first single from Kollywood Super Star Rajinikanth’s upcoming family entertainer, Annaatthe, was released last night. The song is a mass number that introduces Rajini’s character in the movie and it became an instant hit with fans.
Annaatthe Annaatthe was crooned by none other than the legendary playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam in his trademark energetic voice. Leaving millions of his fans across the world, SPB passed away on September 25 last year. Annaatthe Annaatthe is the last song he recorded for a Rajinikanth-starrer and needless to say, the song has become extra special for this reason.
Last night, Rajinikanth took to Twitter and shared an emotional tweet on his friend, SP Balasubrahmanyam. Rajini said that SPB had been his voice for 45 years and that he never dreamed that this would be the last song he would sing for him. “My dear SBP will live on forever through his sweet voice,” tweeted Rajini.
