It’s well known that star heroine Anushka will be seen in a special cameo in Sye Raa, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s prestigious period magnum opus. Anushka’s role in the film has been a hot topic of discussion among her fans and industry circles.
Now, the latest reports reveal that Anushka will be seen in the role of the legendary freedom fighter Jhansi ki Rani Laxmibai, who was one of the revolutionaries who fought against the British in the 1857 uprising. Apparently, Uyyalawada Narasimhareddy’s heroics and valor will be narrated through Jhansi Laxmibai’s character. In a first ever feat, Anushka will also be dubbing for her role.
Surender Reddy is helming this most eagerly awaited patriotic drama and Ram Charan is bankrolling it with a whopping Rs 250 crore budget. The film is slated to hit theaters on October 2.
