Musical wizard and double Academy Award winner AR Rahman has made it to the Oscar nominations once again. The Mozart of Madras’ ‘Ginga’ song from the biopic on legendary footballer Pele: Birth Of A Legend has made it to the nomination list of Oscars in the Best Original Score category 89th edition. Rahman is competing with 145 others in the same category.
Rahman would be competing with 91 other songs. The final nominations for the Academy Awards will be announced on January 24th next year. 2017, while the presentation ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 26, 2017.
