AR Rahman turns scriptwriter

Indian pride and Oscar winning musical composer AR Rahman maybe busy composing for numerous Indian and Hollywood projects. However, Rahman is spreading his creative wings and is now dabbling with scriptwriting. The genius himself revealed this news at the Hindi audio launch of Shankar’s latest film ‘I’. Icing on the cake is that AR Rahman will also act as a co-producer for the film he is writing. However, he did not give any dates for the commencement of the film’s shooting.

Speaking at the audio launch in Mumbai, Rahman said that 2014 has been very special and quite hectic at the same time. He said that he had composed for 14 films this year, out of which three are Hollywood ventures. Rahman also said that working on ‘I’ has been quite satisfying, and that he took 1 week to compose Vikram’s introduction song and one whole month for the background score.

The film’s Telugu version will have its audio launch today, at the Park Hotel in Hyderabad.
