On the occasion of the 103rd birthday anniversary of legendary Tamil film star and former Tamil Nadu CM MGR, the makers of Thalaivi unveiled the first look of Aravind Swami in MGR’s getup. Aravind looks every bit like MGR in the first look, with his clean shaven look and MGR’s iconic black goggles.
Thalaivi is a biopic on legendary yesteryear heroine and former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa. The film has Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut playing Jayaa’s role. Noted Kollywood director AL Vijay is helming this prestigious project and Vishnu Induri is bankrolling it in association with Bollywood producer Shaailesh R Singh. The film will be hitting screens worldwide on June 26.
