Director and producer Sai Rajesh made bold comments at the teaser launch event of Summer Holidays, a film backed by producer Dheeraj Mogilineni. Speaking openly about the current state of film promotions in Tollywood, Sai Rajesh expressed frustration over the growing difficulty in understanding genuine audience response to songs, teasers, and trailers.

According to him, digital metrics such as YouTube views and Twitter trends are frequently manipulated, making it nearly impossible for filmmakers to know whether audiences are truly connecting with the content or not. He further stated that the way promotions are being carried out today has made audiences increasingly cynical about the film industry and promotional content itself.

Sai Rajesh went on to make a surprising statement about his own blockbuster film Baby, saying that if the movie released in today’s market scenario, it would not collect even half of what it originally earned at the box office.

Despite his criticism of the current system, Sai Rajesh appreciated Dheeraj Mogilineni for backing unique projects like The Girlfriend and Summer Holidays during challenging times.

His comments have now gone viral on social media, triggering heated discussions among movie lovers and industry circles. While some praised his honesty about manipulated online promotions, others felt his remarks about the future of the industry were too pessimistic. Nevertheless, his statements have reignited conversations about authenticity and transparency in Tollywood film marketing.
