However, Spider-Man: Brand New Day couldn’t post the biggest opening for an English film in the Telugu states during its opening weekend. If you think Avengers: Endgame holds the previous record, you’re mistaken. James Cameron’s monstrous blockbuster Avatar: The Way of Water still holds the top spot in the Telugu states for both the opening weekend as well as lifetime, according to trade reports.
Avatar: The Way of Water earned over Rs. 100 crores in the Telugu states during its theatrical run, and it remains to be seen how far Spider-Man: Brand New Day can go. At the global box office, Spider-Man emerged as the second-biggest opener of all time, just behind Avengers: Endgame.
