August kicks off with a dud for Tollywood

The first Friday of August proved disappointing for Tollywood and Bollywood, with several releases failing to captivate audiences due to poor content and low buzz.

Shivam Bhaje, starring Ashwin Babu, was released a day early but failed to attract attention. On Friday, films like Allu Sirish’s Buddy, Usha Parinayam, Alanati Ramachandrudu, and Viraji hit the screens but made no impact.

Meanwhile, in Bollywood, Janhvi Kapoor’s Ulajh and Ajay Devgn’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha also flopped. Overall, last week left moviegoers turning to OTT platforms for entertainment. It’s uncertain when theaters will see housefull boards again.
