The country’s most expensive film, Baahubali, is destroying all the existing records and showing its might at the box-offices worldwide. The film, until Saturday, has grossed a humongous 110 crore, making it only the second film in the history of Telugu cinema to cross the Rs.1 billion mark. In the past, SS Rajamouli’s Magadheera grossed close to 150 crores including all the versions.
At this speed, Baahubali will surely topple Magadheera record within the next couple of days and we can also expect Baahubali to surpass the lifetime collections of major Indian films like Shankar’s I, Robot and some of the Bollywood biggies like Chennai Express and Dhoom 3 in its final run. Also, the most prominent feat of Baahubali is that the film broke the age-old myth that big budget films need a festive release to gross more than 250 crores at the box-office.
Meanwhile, Baahubali will also stand atop the list of highest grossing films in Telugu, surpassing the current industry hit, Pawan Kalyan’s Atharintiki Dharedhi, by the end of first Sunday or on Monday.
We are in regular contact with the distributors from all the areas and updating the genuine collections. So keep visiting 123telugu for more exclusive updates on Baahubali collections.
