Amidst tremendous buzz, Jana Nayagan, the farewell film of Thalapathy Vijay, released today in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Directed by H. Vinoth, the big-budget entertainer has opened to a solid response.
It is well known that the film is a remake of Balakrishna’s blockbuster Bhagavanth Kesari. Surprisingly, the remake features a brief scene in which Balakrishna is shown. While it is not a cameo appearance, the scene shows Mamitha Baiju watching Daaku Maharaaj in a theatre and cheering for Balakrishna. The moment has received an enthusiastic response from the audience.
Jana Nayagan has opened to strong occupancy across theatres, and its opening-day collections are expected to be huge. The film is produced by KVN Productions, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
