Mollywood rom-com Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, starring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju, emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters in Malayalam cinema. Girish AD, who earlier directed Premalu, helmed this flick.
The movie has earned over Rs. 200 crores gross worldwide so far and is inching towards the Rs. 250 crore mark. In Kerala, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has amassed around Rs. 78 crores gross till now, and it will soon reach the magical Rs. 100 crore club. Only three films so far have zoomed past the three-digit figure in God’s Own Country (Vaazha 2, Lokah, Thudarum).
The Telugu and Tamil versions are slated for release this Friday, and if they too perform well, even Rs. 300 crores can’t be ruled out. Produced by Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil, and Syam Pushkaran, the film also stars Sangeeth Prathap, Suresh Krishna, Vinay Forrt, Roshan Shanavas, Shyam Mohan, Shameer Khan, and others. Vishnu Vijay composed the tunes.
