Producer Supriya Yarlagadda has been appointed as one of the 18 members of the newly reconstituted Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

The Government of India announced the new board on September 16, with the appointments taking effect immediately. The board will have a tenure of three years or until further orders.

Supriya, a familiar name in Telugu cinema and part of the Annapurna Studios family, now joins a diverse panel featuring several prominent personalities from Indian cinema and entertainment.

The list includes actors Preity Zinta, Pankaj Tripathi, Suniel Shetty, Manoj Joshi, Pallavi Joshi and Prosenjit Chatterjee, along with filmmaker Priyadarshan and musician Ricky Kej.
