Vijay Deverakonda and director Rahul Sankrityan are back together for Ranabaali, their new period flick produced by Mythri Movie Makers. There’s been plenty of talk around the project, but the big test is today.
The theatrical trailer drops at 6:03 PM. At nearly four minutes (3:47 to be exact), the makers are clearly laying out the full scale of the world here. That’s a bold move. The release is set for next week on October 16, so this single cut has to do the heavy lifting to pull casual viewers toward ticket counters.
Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead, and having The Mummy actor Arnold Vosloo on board is an interesting pull for the cast. Ajay-Atul handling the score should also give the action sequences some real weight. By this evening, we’ll know if the buzz is real or if the film has an uphill battle ahead.
