Following the debacle of Thug Life, legendary director Mani Ratnam has now joined hands with Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi. Star heroine Sai Pallavi plays the female lead.
The latest info is that the film’s shoot will begin tomorrow in the City of Joy, Kolkata. While many mid-range films are struggling to secure OTT deals, the digital rights of this untitled project have already been bagged by Netflix, even before it went on the floors.
Madras Talkies is bankrolling the project in association with Lyca Productions and India Talkies. AR Rahman will compose the music. Vijay Sethupathi previously worked with Mani Ratnam in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, while the film marks Sai Pallavi’s first-ever collaboration with the acclaimed director.
