Survival thriller Manjummel Boys emerged as the Mollywood industry hit with over Rs. 230 crores gross. The film’s phenomenal theatrical run even took the trade experts by surprise. It is the highest Malayalam grosser in Tamil Nadu as well. Set in 2006, the movie is based on the real-life experience of young men from a place called Manjummel who rescued their friend trapped in Kodaikanal’s Guna cave.
Manjummel Boys is now available for streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada languages, along with English subtitles. The gap between theatrical and OTT release is 74 days. Not just the Malayalam version, but even the Telugu dubbed version also became successful.
Directed by Chidambaram, the survival thriller stars Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Basi, Balu Varghese, Ganapati S Poduval, Jean Paul Lal, Deepak Parambol, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, and Arjun Kurian in vital roles. Babu Shahir, Soubin Shahir, and Shawn Antony produced the movie under the Parava Films banner. Sushin Shyam composed the tunes.
