Mollywood star hero Dulquer Salmaan joined hands with Selvamani Selvaraj on the multilingual film Kaantha. The director previously helmed the gripping docu-series, ‘The Hunt for Veerappan’ on Netflix. Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media, in collaboration with Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films and Suresh Productions, is bankrolling this flick.
According to a recent report in Telugu media, Rana Daggubati is set to appear in this film, besides producing it. Rana Daggubati will reportedly be seen as a detective in Kaantha. It is said that Rana has a full-length role, and has already wrapped up shooting for his part.
Kaantha is currently in the post-production stage. Latest sensation Bhagyashree Borse is the female lead. Set against the backdrop of 1950s Madras, Kaantha delves into the complexities of human relationships and societal transformation during a pivotal era. The movie is rumored to hit the big screens on August 1, 2025.
