Pranav Mohanlal’s horror thriller, Dies Irae, hit the big screens recently, and it emerged as a solid success in Malayalam, earning over Rs. 50 crores gross worldwide. Rahul Sadasivan, who previously helmed highly acclaimed horror films Bhoothakalam and Bramayugam, directed Dies Irae.
According to the latest buzz, Jio Hotstar has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of this flick. Recently, many Mollywood hit films were sold to Jio Hotstar, and it seems Dies Irae also followed suit. An official confirmation is awaited. Despite A-rated content, the movie is drawing huge crowds to the theatres.
Dies Irae is produced by Chakravarthy Rama Chandra and S. Sashikanth under the banners of Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios. Sushmita Bhat, Gibin Gopinath, Jaya Kurup, and Arun Ajikumar played supporting roles. Christo Xavier composed the tunes.
