CBFC forces title change for Varalaxmi Sarathkumar’s Saraswathi

With the film Saraswathi, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is taking a big leap in her career. The actress, who has been consistently delivering impactful performances, has now turned director for this flick. She, along with her sister, Pooja Sarathkumar, has produced Saraswathi under their banner, Dosa Diaries.

Recently, the CBFC mandated title changes for several films, including Hey Bhagawan (later changed to Hey Balwanth), Chai Wala (later changed to Nawab’s Cafe), and Vanara (later changed to Vana Veera). Similarly, Saraswathi has undergone a title change as per the censor board’s condition, and the film will now be referred to as S. Saraswathi.

The movie has locked a crisp runtime of 2 hours and 1 minute. Billed as a high-concept thriller, S. Saraswathi also features Prakash Raj, Priyamani, and Naveen Chandra in pivotal roles. Thaman has composed the music.
