It is well-known that Anushka’s 2018 film, Bhaagamathie is being made in Hindi as Durgavati. Starring Bhumi Pednekar in the titular role, the film is being directed by Ashok, who filmed the original version.
The film is going to skip its theatrical release and go for an OTT outing on Amazon Prime on December 11, 2020. Meanwhile, the latest news is that the film’s title has been changed to Durgamati by Amazon management. An official poster regarding the same was released this morning.
Noted production houses Vaicom18 and T-Series are jointly bankrolling the film. Akshay Kumar’s Cape Of Good Films is presenting the movie.
