Ram Charan’s debut film Chirutha’s heroine Neha Sharma’s Chinese film, Xuan Zang, has been selected as the Chinese entry for the 89th Academy Awards for the Best Foreign Language category.
Xuan Zang also stars popular actor Sonu Sood. The film showcases the story of Xuan Zang’s 17-year overland journey to India during the Tang dynasty in the 17th century. Legendary Hong Kong filmmaker Wong Kar-wai has produced this film and Jyo Jianqi directed it.
The film released in Mainland China and other foreign countries to a positive response in summer this year.
