Even though Mani Ratnam’s Cheliyaa opened to some mixed reviews in Telugu, its Tamil version, Kaatru Veliyidai has done some decent business all over on the first day.
The latest reports suggest that the Tamil version has collected close to 11 crores gross on the first day of its release worldwide. Mani Ratnam’s huge following and the unique star cast has done wonders for the film’s openings.
