Megastar Chiranjeevi who is known for his humanitarian nature has streamlined the social service done by his fans by establishing “Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust.” Blood and eye donations are done through this charity.
It was on Oct 2nd, 1998 that Chiranjeevi has set up the trust and its office near Jubilee hills check post. It’s exactly 15 years since the charity has been started and is still continuing to help thousands of people in the event of emergency. More than one lakh people have benefitted with the blood sent from the blood bank and more than 2000 people benefitted from the eye bank.
Till date around four lakh people have pledged their eyes to the eye bank and lakhs of people have donated blood. Chiranjeevi has been sponsoring the trust from several years now.
