After listening to all the concerns of exhibitors in detail, Megastar Chiranjeevi stated that complete justice should be ensured for all stakeholders involved in the industry. He emphasized that the discussion was not about a single film or a single sector, but about arriving at a solution acceptable to everyone, which is why the industry had established certain systems and procedures.
He reminded everyone that the highest governing body of the Telugu film industry is the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and said it would be appropriate for everyone to abide by the decisions taken by the Chamber. He further stated that once the Chamber consults all parties and forms a committee to take a decision on the percentage model, no one should express opposing opinions in front of the media. He felt that such actions would create an impression that the industry is divided.
Chiranjeevi acknowledged that some members of the single-screen sector had dissatisfaction and mistrust regarding the functioning and outcomes of previous committees. However, he expressed confidence that the committee newly formed by the Chamber would thoroughly examine all aspects within the stipulated deadline of June 30 and submit a proposal on the percentage model that ensures fairness to producers, distributors, and exhibitors alike.
He also assured that he would personally make every effort to ensure the committee fulfills its responsibilities and submits the report on time. The members expressed complete satisfaction with Chiranjeevi for taking the time to understand their concerns, fears, and the current situation of single screens, while assuring them that justice would be done for everyone. They also stated that they would inform the remaining members of their respective associations about the meeting and convey their approval within 24 hours.
TFCC President D. Suresh Babu, Allu Aravind, TFDC Chairman Dil Raju, K. L. Narayana, Suniel Narang, Bharat Narang, Telangana Film Chamber President Shekhar, Anupam, Sridhar, Sadanand Goud, and Sudarshan Theatre proprietor Raj are also among those who were present at the meeting.
