A couple of days ago, the teaser for young Bollywood starlets Ananya Panday and Ishaan Khatter’s upcoming film, Khaali Peeli, was released and it became an instant target for the anti-nepotism gang. The teaser has so far clocked over 1.1 million dislikes with just 102K likes out of 4.2 million views on YouTube.
Now, in a latest interview with a popular YouTube channel, Ananya’s father and senior Bollywood actor Chunky Panday made a hilarious statement. “First of all, I am quite happy that they (anti-nepotism gangs) are calling Ananya a star kid because that makes me a big star,” Chunky joked.
In reality, Chunky, after tasting a modest success in the initial days of his career, couldn’t make it to the top league in Bollywood later and struggled quite a lot to get decent roles. He clarified that Ananya got her first film Student of the Year 2 under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions not because of his recommendation but solely with her talent.
