CinemaCon 2026, which kicks off tomorrow at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, is a premier event where studios reveal exclusive content for upcoming films. Alongside Hollywood heavyweights like Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Avengers: Doomsday, Indian cinema will be represented by Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana.
SS Rajamouli’s next film, officially titled Varanasi, has already generated strong global attention with its teaser and confirmed release plans. However, there is still no official confirmation about its participation at CinemaCon, raising questions around its absence from the event lineup.
Given its scale and international interest, CinemaCon presents a strong platform to expand its global reach. Whether Varanasi will join Ramayana on this stage or follow a different promotional strategy remains unclear.
Starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, and produced by KL Narayana and SS Karthikeya, Varanasi is currently in production in Hyderabad and is scheduled for release on April 7, 2027. With music by MM Keeravani, the film is also set to be the first Indian project shot in the 1.43:1 IMAX format.
