Rajinikanth’s Coolie is finally out in the open, and the film has grossed close to ₹150 crore on day one at the box office, setting a smashing new record for Tamil cinema.
Several big stars appeared in cameos, one of them being Aamir Khan. While the film was also released as a pan-India project, the response in Hindi has not been very strong.
However, one aspect that has disappointed fans big time is Aamir Khan’s cameo. Ardent fans of the star are upset that someone of his stature was given such a tiny role.
Aamir Khan appears only at the end of the movie, with no real importance to the plot, and seems to be there just for the sake of it. Fans are calling it a waste of talent, and it remains to be seen how Lokesh responds to this.
