Starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, the romantic action drama released two days ago and has been receiving decent responses. Speaking at the event, the Mahanati director described Mrunal Thakur as an exceptional performer.
He expressed that he feels concerned whenever she takes up roles that do not match her potential and questioned why she chooses such projects. He stated that she deserves to work on high quality films and compared her emotional depth to legendary actresses like Madhubala and Smita Patil, especially in portraying pain and intense emotions. He also added that there are very few actors like her and advised her to avoid taking on random roles.
Mrunal Thakur was overwhelmed by his remarks and was visibly delighted by the praise. Nag Ashwin also mentioned that he liked Dacoit, which has crossed Rs. 28 crore in gross collections within just two days of its release.
