Dangal creates history, First Indian movie to collect Rs 2,000 Cr

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s Dangal has created history. The film has collected a humongous Rs 2,000 crore worldwide gross and became the country’s first movie to achieve this feat.

Dangal, until Tuesday, grossed Rs 1,255 crore ($193 million) from China and Taiwan to reach this unimaginable milestone. Dangal released​ in China in over 6,500 screens 8 weeks ago and continues to play in over 2,500 screens in across the Mainland China.

Thanks to its dream run, Dangal is also in the list​ of top 5 highest grossing non-English movies in China. Nitish Tiwari directed Dangal, which also stars Fatima Sana Sheikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim and Sakshi Tanwar.
