Yesterday, two small-budget films, Keedaa Cola and Maa Oori Polimera 2, hit the screens. There were good expectations for both films. While Keedaa Cola’s craze was due to director Tharun Bhascker’s brand value, the latter benefitted due to the sequel hype.
On day one, Maa Oori Polimera 2 collected a solid 63 lakhs share from the Nizam region, while Keedaa Cola collected an impressive 48 lakhs share. Maa Oori Polimera 2 got better word of mouth, and hence, the suspense thriller took the lead over the crime comedy-drama.
Keedaa Cola has Chaitanya Rao, Rag Mayur, Brahmanandam Vishnu Oi, Raghu Ram, Jeevan Kumar, and Tharun Bhascker in the lead roles. On the other hand, Maa Oori Polimera 2, directed by Anil Vishwanath, features Satyam Rajesh, Dr. Kamakshi Bhaskarla, Getup Srinu, Rakendu Mouli, Baladitya, Sahitya Dasari, and Ravi Varma in pivotal roles.
