Much to the surprise of many, Lokesh Kanagaraj and Wamiqa Gabbi’s DC exceeded expectations and delivered an amazing experience to the audience. The film, directed by Arun Matheswaran, is showing a sensational upward trend at the box office with each passing day.
According to trade reports, DC earned over Rs. 30 crores gross in its first weekend globally. What’s more interesting is that the collections in the Telugu states are on par with Tamil Nadu. While the home market contributed nearly Rs. 8 crores gross, reportedly, the Telugu states garnered Rs. 7 crores gross.
Lokesh Kanagaraj is a huge brand among Telugu audiences, and DC’s collections are a testament to it. DC has been barely promoted here, yet audiences have turned up in good numbers. DC is set to have a strong long run riding on glowing word of mouth.
