NTR and Koratala Siva’s pan-India action drama, Devara, is undoubtedly one of the most eagerly awaited biggies this year. This high budget entertainer marks the Tollywood debut of Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, while popular Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan plays the main antagonist.
It’s well known that meeting OTT platform Netflix had acquired Devara’s digital streaming rights last year. Now, the latest buzz in the T-town circles reveals that Netflix has shelled out a whopping Rs 155 crore to snatch Devara’s OTT rights for all languages. This is one of the biggest OTT deals in Telugu Cinema’s history.
Devara’s production formalities are currently underway in Goa, and the team has wrapped up a major portion of shoot already. NTR’s brother Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is jointly bankrolling the project in association with Mikkilineni Sudhakar’s Yuvasudha Arts. Star Tamil composer Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the soundtrack. The film is set to hit theaters in the second half of 2024.
