Dhanush could play the lead role in the Tamil remake of Andha Dhun, if all goes well. The original film, directed by Sriram Raghavan, went on to become a major commercial and critical success in 2018. Ayyushman Khurana, Tabu, and Radhika Apte played the lead roles in the Hindi version.
Few months ago, there were rumours that Siddharth might play the lead role in the Tamil remake; however, it looks like Dhanush has become the frontrunner to buy the remake rights. The actor confirmed that he has initiated the process of acquiring the remake rights and has been meeting Sriram Raghavan occasionally.
Interestingly, he hasn’t starred in a remake in several years now, but Dhanush said he would make an exception for Andha Dhun. “It is an exceptional script. I would love to play the lead role in the remake,” he said.
