Kara marks the latest venture of star actor Dhanush and is directed by Vignesh Raja, who is known for the critically acclaimed Por Thozhil. Mamitha Baiju plays the female lead in this rural action thriller.
Released in cinemas on April 30, 2026, the film has now locked its OTT premiere date. Netflix has officially announced that Kara will begin streaming from May 28, 2026. As of now, the Tamil version has been confirmed, while other language versions are also expected to join the platform.
Veteran actors K. S. Ravikumar and Jayaram play pivotal supporting roles in the film. Kara is produced by Ishari K. Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International in association with Think Studios. G. V. Prakash Kumar has composed the film’s soundtrack.
