Dhanush was last seen in Tere Ishk Mein, and prior to that, he starred in the Tamil film Idli Kadai. The actor has now announced his next Tamil project on the auspicious occasion of Sankranthi.
Titled Kara, the film’s first-look poster was unveiled today, with Dhanush appearing in an intense avatar. The film is directed by Vignesh Raja, who gained acclaim for Por Thozhil. Kara is being planned as a pan-Indian release, including a Telugu version.
The project is produced by Dr Ishari K Ganesh and co-produced by Kushmitha Ganesh, with the makers locking Summer 2026 for its theatrical release. Mamitha Baiju, KS Ravikumar, Jayaram, and others play key roles in the film. GV Prakash Kumar is the music director. The promotional campaign is expected to begin soon.
