They also did not expect the movie to blow up the way it did, which is why they had not initially planned theatrical releases in other languages.
By the time the Dhurandhar team decided to work on dubbed versions, they were unable to secure proper release slots across the south markets due to jam-packed release schedules during the Christmas season. As a result, the makers dropped the idea of theatrical release for dubbed versions altogether. The blockbuster is now gearing up for its OTT debut. Reportedly, Dhurandhar will start streaming on Netflix from January 30.
This brings up an important question: will the makers finally fix the key miss during the digital release? Not releasing dubbed versions theatrically was already a major drawback.
