Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar emerged as the biggest hit in Hindi cinema at the domestic box office, even surpassing the mighty Pushpa 2: The Rule. Despite facing a ban in several Gulf nations, the spy action thriller grossed over Rs. 1300 crores worldwide, a testament to its brutal box office rampage.
After a long wait, Aditya Dhar and his team have finally dropped the much-anticipated theatrical trailer of India’s most hyped film, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, also known as Dhurandhar 2. After the death of Lyari King Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna), tensions rise in Pakistan. Dakait’s gang believes that SP Chaudhary (Sanjay Dutt) and Arshad Pappu (Ashwin Dhar) are responsible for Rehman’s death, while it is actually Hamza Alia Mazari (Ranveer Singh) who killed him.
With a power vacuum in Lyari, Hamza takes the throne and emerges as the Sher-E-Baloch. Along with Uzair Baloch (Danish Pandor), he takes on Arshad Pappu’s gang. However, Hamza faces a much bigger threat in the form of Major Iqbal (Arjun Rampal).
What made Hamza, a.k.a. Jaskirat Singh Rangi, take up the mission of infiltrating the Lyari underworld in Pakistan? What is his backstory? Did Major Iqbal uncover Hamza’s real identity? And who ultimately wins the war? The answers will be revealed on March 19.
Aditya Dhar has delivered a brilliant trailer packed with goosebump-inducing moments, stunning action set pieces, magnificent visuals, massive scale, and an electrifying background score by Shaswat Sachev. Ranveer Singh looks like a ruthless monster ready to unleash vengeance with his towering screen presence, and it is exciting to see him go head-to-head with Arjun Rampal.
The hype around this juggernaut is only set to amplify with the trailer, which promises fireworks and box-office carnage. The film will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
